Genetic Counselling

What is Genetic Counselling?

Genetic counselling helps individuals understand how their genes may influence their health, particularly in relation to inherited conditions like cancer. Certain types of cancer, such as breast, gynaecological, prostate, and colorectal cancers, can run in families. If you have a strong family history of cancer or other hereditary conditions, genetic counselling can help assess your risk and empower you on the next steps to take care of your health.

At Hospital Picaso, we collaborate with Genetix by Cancer Research Malaysia, a dedicated team of expert genetic counsellors, to offer personalised support and guidance for individuals who may be at increased risk of hereditary cancer.
